CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
JANUARY 11, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
Called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
PRESENT: Mayor Cadenhead, Councilmembers Katrina Beckstrom, Dale Dorschner, Jeff Holtz
and Lisa McGinn.
Staff present: City Administrator Handt, Assistant Administrator Dickson, Fire Chief Kalis,
Building Official Taylor and City Clerk Johnson.
Business Subsidy Policy Draft
Administrator Handt presented information gathered and analyzed by the City's EDA. Chris
Eng, Washington County Economic Development Director, commented on tax increment
financing and business subsidies.
Metrics and Dashboards
Administrator Handt presented preliminary work done toward the Council's goal of developing a
5 year plan for each department with appropriate metrics and dashboards. Discussion was held
regarding possible participation in the state's performance measurement plan and what types of
data the Council would like to see going forward.
PlannineBuildine Dept Audit Follow Up
Administrator Handt provided an overview of the planning/building department audit conducted
by The Novak Consulting Group.
Items for Future Aeenda
Administrator Handt noted there are no items for the February worksession.
Meeting adjourned at 8:39 p.m.
