CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
JULY 12, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
Called the meeting to order at 6.30 pm.
PRESENT: Mayor Cadenhead, Councilmembers Katrina Beckstrom, Dale Dorschner and Lisa
McGinn. ABSENT: Councilmember Jeff Holtz.
Staff present: City Administrator Handt, Planning Director Just and City Clerk Johnson.
Impervious Surface Definition
Planning Director Just reviewed current definitions in the City code and definitions used in other
metro area communities. Discussion was held and staff was directed amend the definition,
increase impervious surface coverage in unsewered shorleand areas and consult with the DNR.
MDR/HDR Setbacks
Planning Director Just presented proposed updates to setback requirements in the MDR and
HDR zoning districts in the area, south of 10' Street. Staff was directed to prepare revisions for
Council approval requiring a minimum of a 40' foot setback in all districts south of 10 ' St.,
except golf course and LDR districts, where a residence faces a public street.
Items for Future Agenda
Administrator Handt noted that storm water re -use and THC regulations would be discussed at
the August worksession.
