AGENDA ITEM: Parks Commission Appointment

BACKGROUND: Steve Schumacher resigned his position on the Parks Commission on April 26, 2021. His term goes until 12/31/21. ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Who should the Council appoint to the Parks Commission?
PROPOSAL: Based upon earlier interviews, council feedback and Andrew Hodges’ continued interest, I’m recommending Council appoint him to fill out the remainder of Schumacher’s term on the Parks Commission. OPTIONS: 1) Appoint Andrew Hodges to the Parks Commission for a term ending 12/31/21 2) Appoint someone else to the vacant term
3) Re-advertise for applications RECOMMENDATION: If removed from the consent agenda:
“Move to appoint Andrew Hodges to the Parks Commission for a term ending 12/31/21.”
