PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: We had 47 calls in June. 33 Medical Incidents 3 Fire Alarms 3 Dispatched and Cancelled En Route 2 Motor Vehicle Accidents w/ Injuries 1 Gas Leak / Struck Line 1 Chemical Hazard 1 Electrical Arcing / Hazard 1 Vehicle Fire 1 Lightning Strike 1 Assist Law Enforcement 47 Total Incidents through June 2021: 254 (2020 YTD: 270) Our average response time was 9.5 minutes from alarm to arrival. 22 calls had 3 or less responders minus the Duty Officer with 8 calls having only 1 personnel on the first due apparatus. Drills for the Month: #1 – Station Drill / Truck Checks #2 – Ladders/Hose Management/Pumping #3 – Two Person Initial Fire Attack with all Part-Time Staff taught by Make the Move Training #4 – Class B Fire Attack at the East Metro Training Facility Points of Interest: - Jon Anderson started as a part time FF. Jon is currently a paramedic and full time FF with a neighboring department as well. - Nick Witter has been named the new Assistant Chief. Nick was the station one Captain for the past 6 years. He also continues to serve as the part time Administrative Assistant. - Personnel have been oiling and mapping hydrants throughout our city and will be performing these tasks more consistently as staffing and emergency calls allow. - Personnel have begun to collect and catalog excessive items to go to auction as we prepare to consolidate the stations for the future building. Part Timer Accomplishments: - Cleaning and general maintenance at both stations. - Vehicle and equipment inspections. - Assisted with Burn Permit applications. - Vehicle repairs as possible. - Increased decontamination of apparatus and stations. - Training of new personnel. - Hydrant mapping and valve oiling. - Organizing and prepping all excess equipment for sale or disposal.
