AGENDA ITEM: Accept Improvements and Approve Pay Request No. 2 (FINAL) for the Removal
of the 50th Street PRV & Vault, and the Linden Ave Storm Sewer Replacement

ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council accept the improvements and approve Pay Request No. 2 (FINAL) for the Removal of the 50th Street PRV & Vault, and the Linden Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement? BACKGROUND: The Removal of the 50th Street PRV & Vault, and the Linden Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement have been fully completed. The Project Engineer has prepared a Certificate of Completion and is recommending acceptance of the improvements and release of payment in full. The one-year
warranty period will begin on August 17, 2021, and will extend to August 17, 2022. PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: Miller Excavating, Inc. has submitted Pay Request No. 2 (FINAL)
in the amount of $26,421.62. The request has been reviewed and payment is recommended in the amount requested. FISCAL IMPACT: None. Payment is proposed in accordance with the contract for the project. Payment remains within the authorized scope and budget amount. RECOMMENDATION: Staff is recommending that the City Council, as part of the Consent Agenda, accept the improvements and approve Pay Request No. 2 (FINAL) to Miller Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $26,421.62 for the Removal of the 50th Street PRV & Vault, and the Linden Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement. If removed from the consent agenda, the recommended motion for the action is as follows: “Move to accept the improvements and approve Pay Request No. 2 (FINAL) to Miller Excavating, Inc.
in the amount of $26,421.62 for the Removal of the 50th Street PRV & Vault, and the Linden Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement”. ATTACHMENTS:
1. Engineer’s Certificate of Completion dated August 17, 2021.
2. Partial Pay Estimate No. 2 (FINAL).
