AGENDA ITEM: Donation to the Fire Department from The Fields at Arbor Glen TO: Mayor and City Council SUBMITTED BY: Julie Johnson, City Clerk REVIEWED BY: Dustin Kalis, Fire Chief
BACKGROUND: State statute requires that cities accept donations via resolution. ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should Council accept the donation of $2,085?
PROPOSAL: The Fields at Arbor Glen hosted a fundraiser on October 5, 2022 with all proceeds benefiting the Fire Department. Management from The Fields at Arbor Glen presented the City with a donation
of $2,085 for the Lake Elmo Fire Department. Included in your packet for acceptance as part of
the Consent Agenda is a resolution for the Council to officially accept the donation. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the 2022 budget as these funds were not anticipated.
OPTIONS: 1) Approve Resolution No 2022-099 2) Amend and then Approve Resolution No 2022-099 3) Do not accept the donation

CITY OF LAKE ELMO WASHINGTON COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2022-099 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATED FUNDS FROM THE FIELDS AT ARBOR GLEN WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues Section 465.03 provides that donations to the City be accepted by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, The Fields at Arbor Glen had proposed contributing $2,085 to the Lake Elmo Fire Department; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo agrees that said contribution would be of benefit to the citizens of Lake Elmo; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, does hereby acknowledges and agrees to accept said donation of $2,085 from The Fields at Arbor Glen on behalf of the citizens of Lake Elmo.
