RESOLUTION APPROVING 2024 PRELIMINARY GENERAL FUND BUDGET, 2024
PRELIMINARY PROPERTY TAX LEVY, AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING DATE
FOR THE 2024 BUDGET AND 2024 PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR TUESDAY
DECEMBER 5, 2023 AT 7:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, The City of Lake Elmo is required by State law to approve a resolution
setting forth an annual property tax levy to the Washington County Auditor; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require approval of a preliminary property tax levy and
a preliminary budget on or before September 30th of each year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the preliminary budget document;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake
Elmo, that the Preliminary 2024 Budget shall be as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday
December 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo,
Washington County, Minnesota, that the following sums of money be levied in 2023, for
collection in 2024 upon the taxable property in said City of Lake Elmo for the following
purposes:

And
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby authorized and
directed to transmit this information to the County Auditor of Washington County, Minnesota
and the Minnesota Department of Revenue, if applicable, in the format requested as required by
law.
