CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
AUGUST 29, 2023
CALL TO ORDER
Acting Mayor McGinn called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
PRESENT: Acting Mayor Lisa McGinn, Councilmembers Matt Him and Jeff Holtz.
Councilmember Katrina Beckstrom was present remotely. ABSENT: Mayor Cadenhead.
Staff present: City Administrator Handt, Public Works Director Powers, Finance Director Hadler,
Administrative Services Director Goers, Fire Chief Kalis and City Clerk Johnson.
2024 General Fund, Utilities, Debt Service Funds, and Tax Lew
Finance Director Hadler reviewed the proposed tax levy and tax rate, and General Fund revenue
and expenditures. Discussion was held regarding building department revenue and overall
staffing costs for the city.
2024-2033 Capital Improvement Plan
Finance Director Hadler provided a brief overview of the Capital Improvement Plan. Discussion
was held regarding priority of projects in the plan. Council direction given to move water
treatment and other water projects to top priority.
Meeting adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
