City offices and the Lake Elmo Fire Department have made the move to the new City Center building and we are open for business! ​We look forward to seeing you at our new facility at 3880 Laverne Avenue North, just across the parking lot from the old city hall building. Plans are in the works for a public open house this fall, so watch for more information later this summer! Utility payments, permit applications and other documents may be dropped in the box during or after office hours. Hudson Road Closure Closure of Hudson Road west of Keats Avenue is planned to begin Monday, July 31st and will last 4-6 weeks. Detours will be posted. Water Rebate Program The City of Lake Elmo, in partnership with the Metropolitan Council, is offering a rebate program for purchases of eligible water efficient products. The goal of the water efficiency grant program is to improve municipal water use. This funding has enabled Lake Elmo to provide a rebate to current water customers who replace existing devices with specified water efficient products. Qualifying purchases are eligible for a rebate on your water bill. More information is available on the City's website via the link below. Rebate Park and Court Reservations City parks and courts are in high demand this time of year. Did you know you can reserve use of a court, ball field or park shelter? To access all reservations, please visit the website via the link below and use the drop down menu on the top right side to move between park calendars. Park Calendars Compost Bin and Rain Barrel SaleCompost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale Washington County is excited to partner with the Recycling Association of Minnesota to sell discounted compost bins and rain barrels to Washington County residents. Home Composter compost bins are $56 and Rain Catcher rain barrels are $70. Pre-ordered items must be picked-up at the Environmental Center within 90 days of purchase. Order online The City of Lake Elmo has begun participation in the State of Minnesota's Performance Measurement Program. This program began in 2010 for cities and counties to report on at least 10 performance measures annually as a way to aid residents, taxpayers, and state and local elected officials in determining the efficacy of counties and cities in providing services and measure residents' opinions of those services. Click here to access reporting results The Valley Branch Watershed District (VBWD) is a public organization tasked with protecting and managing local water resources within an area spanning 14 cities and townships in Washington and Ramsey Counties. The VBWD is seeking input from you as it begins updating its Watershed Management Plan which will guide VBWD actions for the next 10 years.
