CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
FEBRUARY 13, 2024
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Cadenhead called the meeting to order at 7.20 pm.
PRESENT: Mayor Cadenhead, Councilmembers Katrina Beckstrom, Matt Him, and Jeff Holtz
Planning Commissioners Present: Kyle Rizner, Thomas Rehkamp, Michelle Bohlig, Brian Steil,
Dennis Geffre and Micah Vrieze.
Staff present: Interim City Administrator Schroeder, Public Works Director Powers, Assistant
Public Works Director Swanepoel, City Planner Jensen and City Clerk Johnson.
Planning Commission Work Plan Review
City Planner Jensen reviewed the 2024 Planning Commission work plan discussion points. Sign
ordinance was discussed as it relates to square footage allowance especially in the I-94 corridor.
Discussion held regarding the OP-PUD ordinance with consensus to add it to the work plan.
Discussion was held regarding the frequency of joint workshops between the City Council and
the Planning Commission. Planning Commissioners indicated they would like to see more
frequent communication between the two bodies.
Old village planning was discussed with Interim Administrator noting options and issues present
in the old village area.
Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
