CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
AUGUST 14, 2024
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Cadenhead called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Mayor Cadenhead, Councilmembers Katrina Beckstrom, Nick Dragisich, and Matt
Hirn. ABSENT: Councilmember Jeff Holtz
Staff present: City Administrator Miller, Administrative Services Director Goers, Contract Planner
Fuerst, Community Development Director Stolpa, City Planner Monterusso and Deputy Clerk
Schwemmer.
Limerick Village Concept Plan
Contract Planner Nathan Fuerst presented the Limerick Village Concept Plan updates.
Discussion was held regarding the reasoning for reduced ROW, pond and park placement, trail
connectivity, detached townhomes vs townhomes, and density requirements.
Applicant Mario Cucarella, Maplewood Development and Clark Wicklund, Civil Engineer with
Alliant addressed the decision for the fifty-three feet ROW, HOA management, detached
townhomes, and access points.
Village Area Study
Contract Planner Nathan Fuerst and Community Development Director Stopa presented the
Village Area Study results and proposed steps before lifting the moratorium.
Discussion was held and consensus was to follow the proposed steps before lifting the
moratorium and setting a lift date for September.
Items for Future Workshop Agenda
City Support for Community Events, Lake Elmo Avenue Gardens Discussion and Right of Way
Management are planned for future workshop agendas.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
