ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should Council accept the donation of $1,379.00? PROPOSAL: Oakdale Gun Club presented the City with a donation of $1,379.00 for the Lake Elmo Fire Department. In July, proceeds from their open public days were donated to the Fire Department and Washington County Sherriff’s Office. Included in your packet for acceptance as part of the Consent Agenda is a resolution for the Council to officially accept the donation. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the 2024 budget as these funds were not anticipated. OPTIONS: 1) Approve Resolution No 2024-097 2) Amend and then Approve Resolution No 2024-097 3) Do not accept the donation RECOMMENDATION: Motion to approve Resolution 2024-097 ATTACHMENTS: • Resolution 2024-097 CITY OF LAKE ELMO WASHINGTON COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2024-097 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATED FUNDS FROM OAKDALE GUN CLUB WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues Section 465.03 provides that donations to the City be accepted by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, Oakdale Gun Club had proposed contributing $1,379.00 to the Lake Elmo Fire Department; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo agrees that said contribution would be of benefit to the citizens of Lake Elmo; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, does hereby acknowledges and agrees to accept said donation of $1,379.00 from the Oakdale Gun Club on behalf of the citizens of Lake Elmo.
