CONSENT
AGENDA ITEM: Approve Massage Therapy License Renewal
TO: Mayor and City Council

BACKGROUND: The City of Lake Elmo instituted a city license structure in December of 2012
in order to better regulate the practice of therapeutic massage in Lake Elmo. Licenses are subject
to approval by the City Council.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Should Council approve the requested license?
PROPOSAL: The City has received the following renewal requests:
• Ana da Rocha Pereira – Boon Massage &Wellness Center
• Roxane Fogard – Body and Soul
• Bridget Relander – Bridget Relander Massage
Appropriate fees have been paid and all required paperwork has been submitted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Renewal fee: $25.00 per license
OPTIONS:
1) Approve license renewals
2) Deny license renewals
RECOMMENDATION:
If removed from Consent Agenda:
“Motion to approve massage therapy license renewals as presented.”
