BACKGROUND
The request for proposals (RFP) was approved by the Council and staff were waiting on the Phase I Environmental report from Stantec before releasing the RFP. We received the report
and Stantec recommended a Phase II, which will include site sampling. The Phase I & II costs are covered by a grant from the Washington County CDA. Stantec has started the Phase II,
which should be completed by September. After talking with Stantec, the Washington County CDA, and our Legal department, we plan to release the RFP in June. If remediation is needed,
the potential buyer can work with the City on a Response Action Plan.
