BACKGROUND: Dresel Contracting, Inc. was awarded a construction contract on June 18, 2024 to
complete the Hudson Boulevard Improvements. Work efforts are complete with final contractual closeout
items left to be addressed prior to project acceptance.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council approve Change Order No. 3 for the Hudson
Boulevard Improvements – Segment A?
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: Dresel Contracting, Inc. has submitted Change Order No. 3 in the
amount of $15,491.90 for items found during construction but not included in the original contract
documents. The itemization is included in the attachment.
FISCAL IMPACT: This change order will increase the contract amount by $15,491.90 bringing the
revised construction contract to $2,131,098.08.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff is recommending that the City Council approve, as a part of the Consent
Agenda, Change Order No. 3 for the Hudson Boulevard Improvements Project. If removed from the consent
agenda, the recommended motion for the action is as follows:
Motion to approve Change Order No. 3 for the Hudson Boulevard Improvements Project, thereby
increasing the contract amount by $15,491.90.
