SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED: The city council is being asked to approve the
change orders for the Tablyn Park/Lake Elmo Heights well sealing contracts A and B. This
change order extends the final completion date from May 1, 2007 to June 15, 2007.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Staff recommends the approval of the extension based on the added scope of the
project:
• The sealing of individual wells is the final phase of the Tablyn Park/Lake Elmo
Heights water project. The contractor cannot seal wells until the water line has
been installed and the plumbing has been completed.
• The contractor cannot proceed with any sealing until the Minnesota Geological
Survey has completed all final well testing and the Minnesota Department of
Health has recommended the method of sealing for each individual well.
RECOMMENDATION
Suggested motion for consideration:
Move to approve Change Order No. 1, which extends the contract Final Completion date
to June 15, 2007.
