STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: March 18, 2025 <br /> Presentations/Consent <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM: Jaycees Donation <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />SUBMITTED BY: Julie Johnson, City Clerk <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />State statute requires that cities accept donations via resolution. The Lake Elmo Jaycees will be donating <br />to the City of Lake Elmo at this meeting. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should Council accept the donation of $12,000 from the Lake Elmo Jaycees? <br /> <br />PROPOSAL: <br />The Lake Elmo Jaycees will be presenting a check for $12,000 to the City Council at the meeting. Included <br />in your packet for acceptance as part of the Consent Agenda is a resolution for the Council to officially <br />accept the donation. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The 2025 General Fund budget includes $7,600 in donations. <br /> <br />OPTIONS: <br />1) Approve Resolution No 2025-028 <br />2) Amend and then Approve Resolution No 2025-028 <br />3) Don not accept the donation from the Lake Elmo Jaycees <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Motion to approve Resolution 2025-028 <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Resolution 2025-028
