STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: <br /> REGULAR <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Lake Elmo City Council <br />FROM: Clark Schroeder Interim City Administrator <br />AGENDA ITEM: Search firm for City Administrator <br />REVIEWED BY: Clark Schroeder <br />BACKGROUND: <br />City Council directed staff to seek out a search firms to find a permanent city administrator. Staff sent out <br />an RFP for such firms and we received 4 responses. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />City Council can pick one of the firms straight away, select a couple firms to interview at a future workshop, <br />then pick the finalist at a regular meeting, or direct staff to seek additional proposals. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />The RFP’s have been sent to council for review prior to the meeting. We will discuss the names of the <br />companies which responded but will not be posting the proposals before a contract is signed. <br />We received proposals from <br />The Mercer Group Associates <br />David Drown Associates Company <br />GovHR <br />Public Administration Associates, LLC <br />Gierke Jungbauer Human Capital <br /> <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: Fiscal impact will be determined after a contract is signed with a search firm. <br /> <br />OPTIONS: discuss and accept a proposal, or pick firm(s) for interviews <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Motion to: Authorize staff to sign contract and work with one of the responding search <br />services. <br />Or <br />Move to direct staff to set up interviews with ___________ search firms. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS:
