BACKGROUND:
City Council directed staff to seek out a search firms to find a permanent city administrator. Staff sent out
an RFP for such firms and we received 4 responses.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
City Council can pick one of the firms straight away, select a couple firms to interview at a future workshop,
then pick the finalist at a regular meeting, or direct staff to seek additional proposals.
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS:
The RFP’s have been sent to council for review prior to the meeting. We will discuss the names of the
companies which responded but will not be posting the proposals before a contract is signed.

Gierke Jungbauer Human Capital
FISCAL IMPACT: Fiscal impact will be determined after a contract is signed with a search firm.
OPTIONS: discuss and accept a proposal, or pick firm(s) for interviews
RECOMMENDATION:
Motion to: Authorize staff to sign contract and work with one of the responding search
services.
Or
Move to direct staff to set up interviews with ___________ search firms.
