Prevent frozen pipes during
cold winter weather
Cold winter temperatures can put household
plumbing at risk. To help prevent frozen
pipes, keep garage and basement doors
closed, seal air leaks near pipes, and open
cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate.
On especially cold nights, letting faucets drip
slightly can help keep water moving and
reduce the chance of freezing.
Taking a few simple steps now can help
avoid costly damage and service
interruptions later this winter.
