CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2026-011 <br />A RESOL UTION GRANTING A RED UCTIONIN CERTAIN B UILDING PERMIT FEES FOR <br />THE ST JUDE DREAM HOME SHOWPLACE HOUSE LOCATED AT 3767 KNIGHTSBRIDGE <br />LANE N. <br />WHEREAS, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital advances cures, and means of <br />prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment; and <br />WHEREAS, consistent with the vision of St. Jude's fotmder Danny Thomas, no child is <br />denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay; and <br />WHEREAS, St Jude specializes in care for some of the toughest pediatric cases, all while <br />investing in resources and technologies for cutting -edge scientific research and families never <br />receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food; and <br />WHEREAS, a majority of fimding for St. Jude comes from generous donors; and <br />WHEREAS, the St. Jude Dream Home Showplace home is built by a local builder through <br />community support, donated labor and materials from local trade partners, vendors, and national <br />sponsors; and <br />WHEREAS, upon completion of constriction, the Showplace home is sold and net <br />proceeds from the sale of the home will be donated to St. Jude; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2026 St. Jude Dream Home Showplace home will be built in the North <br />Star community in the city of Lake Elmo by builder Creative Homes and its many trade partners; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the builder has requested that the City waive its permit fees for the <br />construction of the home; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has agreed to waive certain permit fees for the construction of the <br />home; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Coimcil of the City of Lake Elmo hereby approves the <br />following: <br />1. The building permit fees for the construction of the 2026 St. Jude Dream Home <br />Showplace home located at 3767 Knightsbridge Lane N. are hereby waived. <br />LA515\1\1074432.v1 <br />
