The Gold Leaf Challenge is a sister program to the Minnesota GreenStep Cities program, which the City has been participating in since 2012. City requests proposals for lawn care services The City of Lake Elmo Public Works Department is accepting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide lawn maintenance at 47 city owned properties for the 2026-2028 growing season. The scope of work includes providing labor, equipment and affiliated material for lawn maintenance to properties owned and maintained by the City of Lake Elmo. Don't forget: set your clocks ahead! Daylight saving time is approaching, which means it's almost time to set clocks ahead by one hour. This year, the time change occurs on Sunday, March 8. At 2 a.m., clocks move forward one hour to 3 a.m., marking the start of daylight saving time. With the change, both sunrise and sunset will occur one hour later than the previous day, bringing more daylight to the evening hours and a later sunrise in the morning. Minnesota has 14 different types or species but only one of those species is also found in the ARCTIC! Join us for a hoppin' good time! Looking for a unique experience with a nature based program for you and your toddlers? The Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center is excited to present its second year of our Toddler Tuesdays program! The program runs 1 '/z hours — 1 hour is structured with a nature themed storytime, a take home craft and a movement game. The last 30 minutes is time to explore the nature center and make new friends! We will be outside in the milder months and inside for the colder months with an exception for part of the WINTER FUN program. Adults must accompany children. $8.00 for children 1-5 years -old.
