Lake Elmo Boulevard Tree
Program launches!
The City of Lake Elmo is excited to launch the
Boulevard Tree Program beginning Monday,
February 2, offering residents an easy way to
enhance their neighborhood canopy.
This program helps replace aging or
removed boulevard trees while promoting
long-term environmental benefits such as
improved air quality, increased property
values, and stronger community character.
Residents can review eligible tree species,
program details, and ordering information
on the City website.
Quantities are limited and available on a
first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to
explore your options soon and take part in
growing a greener Lake Elmo.

Lake Elmo Utility Bills updated
with new billing and online
payment system
Utility billing is new and improved! We have
implemented a new City financial software
system witih integrated utility billing, which
allows for better financial controls and more
efficient processing. Part of the change
includes a new utility payment system called
BS&A Payments.
The new system will allow paperless billing
and autopay. The current system, Paya-
Nuvei, is no longer available.

Sally Manzara summer camp
registration now open!
Registration is open for the 2026 summer
camp season at the Sally Manzara
Interpretive Nature Center! We have some
new themes this year, and we’ve lowered our
prices on most camps. There are lots of
special guests lined up to share their
expertise with your campers. You can see all
our offerings on the summer camps page on
our website. With options for preschoolers up
to 12-year-olds, one day, two day and four
day camps, and focuses on prairie life,
raptors, and “Bugology,” you can surely find
something just right for any nature lover. It
may be hard to believe with these sub-zero
temps, but summer will be here before you

Take the Plastic Free Challenge
in February!
Did you know during the 2025 Plastic-Free
Challenge, which took place in Hennepin
County, almost 1,690 participants completed
almost 21,500 actions? These actions had a
big impact, including:
Avoiding the release of over 13,000 pounds
of carbon dioxide
Taking over 240 advocacy actions
Spending 31,700 minutes learning
Let's improve these numbers, Washington
County! We can do more! With the help of
partners, we can recruit more participants
and have an even greater impact toward
creating a plastic-free world.

What Do My Taxes Pay For?
The City Council adopted the 2026 Budget
on December 16, 2025. City Finance staff
have developed a downloadable property
tax calculator that estimates 2026 city taxes
no other jurisdictions) on your home. It
shows approximately how much of your
taxes are allocated to each service area.
