Water containing chlorine, bromine, and other chemicals can harm local waterways.  Never drain water into a street or storm drain. Let chlorine dissipate before draining. Drain slowly onto grass or landscaping where water can soak into the ground.  Keep water away from lakes, streams, and wetlands. Only rain should go down the storm drain.  Save Money on Your Water Bill In partnership with the Metropolitan Council (Met Council) the City of Lake Elmo offers a rebate program for purchases of eligible water-efficient products. The funding has enabled Lake Elmo to provide a rebate to current water customers who replace existing devices with specified water-efficient products, or who have an irrigation system audit completed by a professional.  Visit the water rebate page at Lakeelmo.gov [https://www.lakeelmo.gov/225/Water- Rebate-Program] for guidelines, restrictions, and a list of qualifying items.  9/23/26, 6:35 AM CivicSend • Lake Elmo, MN • CivicEngage https://www.lakeelmo.gov/Admin/CivicSend/ViewMessage/Print/300465 9/10 What Do My Taxes Pay For?  The City Council adopted the 2026 Budget on December 16, 2025.
