CITY OF LAKE ELMO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE LAKE ELMO 1990 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS RESOLUTION "THE 1990 LAKE ELMO
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN" AMENDS A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADOPTED IN 19$3
AND AMENDED SINCE THEN, INCLUDING THE WORDING APPROVED BY THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF FEBRUARY 14, 1991.
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has spent considerable time
developing a new Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo Planning Commission has completed a
plan, held public hearings on the matter, and recommended a new
Comprehensive Plan to the City Council for approval; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo submitted said plan to the
Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved the Lake Elmo
1990 Comprehensive Plan on February 14, 1991:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lake Elmo 1990 -2010
Comprehensive Plan is hereby adopted as the official
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Lake Elmo; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lake Elmo 1990 Comprehensive
Plan is hereby submitted to the Metropolitan Council as required
by Minnesota Statutes 473.175; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that City Council actions with
regard to any residential rezonings and subdivisions since
February 14, 1991 are hereby ratified; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lake Elmo will take
into consideration the findings of the Metropolitan Council, but
will not consider amending any language relating to the city's
stated policy opposing the potential landfill in the Lake Elmo
Regional Park Reserve. ,
