CITY OF LAKE ELMO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LAKE ELMO JAYCEES
WHEREAS, it is the policy of this city to actively promote
civic involvement of it's residents, and
WHEREAS; the Lake Elmo Jaycees have been an active and
constructive organization for the betterment of our city for
twenty -two years, and
WHEREAS, "Huff N'Puff" Days is run during August of each
year and, started by our Jaycee's some fifteen years ago, is a
means of raising money specifically for contribution to the
betterment of our community, and
WHEREAS, this celebration of athletics and other 'fun'
activities continues to be broadened to include more "community"
oriented activities each year and has, in effect, become Lake
Elmo's community celebration, and
WHEREAS, the effort of this group i.s done solely out of a
spirit of camaraderie, development of business and related
skills, and plain old civic spirit and is enormous relative to
the any apparent rewards, and
WHEREAS, it has always been run in a professional and
effective manner,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lake Elmo
hereby Officially Commends all of the current and former
Jaycee's involved in "Huff N'Puff" Days and particularly wishes
to extend it's appreciation and congratulations to the executive
committee:

Dave Cooper, Volleyball Chairperson
Mary Schwarz, Road Race Chairperson
Donna Kuehn & Kathy Partridge, Golf & Longest Drive Chairpersons
Linda Wagner, Teen Dance Chairperson
Kathy Hemen, Kids Games Chairperson
Todd & Michelle Carlson Concession Chairpersons
John Hughes, Saturday Night Dance Chairperson
Terry Needham, Cribbage Chairperson
Colleen Horeish, Public Relations & Baking Contest Chairperson
