RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LEGION AVENUE
FROM 20TH STREET TO LEGION LANE
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve Legion Avenue, by
bituminous overlay, from 20th Street to Legion Lane (North
Junction) and to assess the benefitted property for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 429,
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the city council adopted
January 16, 1990, a report has been prepared by TKDA, the City's
Engineer, with reference to the improvement of Legion Avenue from
20th Street to Legion Lane,
WHEREAS, this report was received by the City Council on
April, 3, 1.990.
WHEREAS, the city council held a public hearing on May 1,
1990 in the Lake Elmo council. chambers,
WHEREAS, the city council. did not order this project, and
indicated. it would be reconsidered in 1991.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Lake
Elmo, Minnesota.:
That the proposed improvement be referred to TKDA for update
of the original feasibility report, and that TKDAis instructed to
report to the council with all convenient speed advising the
Council. in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed
improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best made
as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the
estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
