RESOLUTION NO. 95-38
A RESOLUTiON ACCEPTING BID FOR 1995 BITUMINOUS OVERLAYS
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bid for the improvement of
42nd Street, FoxFire and Green Acres Subdivisions, Highlands Trail, Meyers
Park, 32nd Street, 38th Street (proposed), Lake Jane Trail, Jane Road, Upper
33rd (West) by overlay, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to
law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Name of Bidder:
T.A. Schifsky & Sons
Tower Asphalt, Inc.
Aero Asphalt
Valley Paving
Northwest Asphalt
Ashback Construction
WHEREAS, upon review by the City Engineer it is determined that T.A.
Schifsky & Sons is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Lake Elmo City Council that
the 1995 Bituminous Overlays contract be awarded to T.A. Schifsky & Sons in
the amount of $262,911.30.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: the City Clerk is hereby authorized an
directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids,
except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder sh
be retained until a contract has been signed. I
ADOPTED, by the City Council this 2nd day of May, 1 95.
