RESOLUTION 96-22
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A MINOR SUBDIVISION T*
NEIL AND GERTRUDE
WHEREAS, Neil and Gertrude Wales made application to the City of Lake Elmo
for a minor subdivision pursuant to Section 401.042 of the Lake Elmo Municipal Code of
the following described land:
PARCEL 37008 -0050 (Vacant Lot)
All that part of Government Lot 1, Section 8, Township 29 North, Lange 21 West,
Washington County, Minnesota, described as follows:
Beginning at the meander corner on the Southwesterly shore of Olson Lake,
distant 145.2 feet Northerly of the east quarter of said Section 8; thence Northwesterly by
a deflection angle of 53 degrees 11 minutes to the left from the East line of said Section, a
distance of 378.5 feet, thence Northwesterly by a deflection angle of 2 degrees 43
minutes to the left, a distance of 341.3 feet thence Northwesterly by a deflection angle of
33 degrees 26 minutes to the right, distance of 700.6 feet, thence Southwesterly by
deflection angle of 90 degrees 0 minutes to the left, a distance of 182.0 feet, thence
Northwesterly by a deflection angle of 92 degrees 50 minutes to the right, a distance of
472.0 feet, thence Northerly by a deflection angle of 21 degrees 28 minutes to the right, a
distance of 117.2 feet to the point of beginning, thence running Northerly along the
aforesaid line, a distance of 125.0 feet, thence Easterly by a deflection angle of 89 degrees
55 1/2 minutes to the right, a distance of 312.94 feet, thence Southeasterly by a deflection
angle of 67 degrees 17 1/2 minutes to the right, a distance of 125.0 feet, thence Westerly a
distance of 361.48 feet to the point of beginning..
PARCEL 37008 -0040 (House Lot)
All that part of Government Lot 1, Section 8, Township 29, Range 21 West, Washington
County, Minnesota which is bounded by the following described line: from the meander
corner on the Southwesterly shore of Olson Lake distant 145.2 feet Northerly of the East
Quarter corner of said Section 8, run Northwesterly at an angle of 53 degrees 11 minutes
(when measured from north to west) with the East line of said section for a distance of
378.5 feet; thence deflect to the left at an angle of 2 degrees 43 minutes and continue
Northwesterly for a distance of 341.3 feet; thence deflect to the right at an angle of 33
degrees 26 minutes and run Northwesterly for a distance of 700.6 feet; thence deflect to
the left at an angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes and run Southwesterly for a distance of 182.0
feet; thence deflect to the right at an angle of 92 degrees 50 minutes and run
Northwesterly for a distance of 472.0 feet; thence deflect to the right at an angle of 21
degrees 28 minutes and run Northerly for a distance of 247.2 feet to the point of
beginning, thence continue northerly along the last above described course for a distance
of 125.0 feet; thence deflect to the right at an angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes and run
Easterly for a distance of 258.5 feet; thence deflect to the light at an angle of 67 degrees
13 minutes and run Southeasterly for a distance of 135.5 feet- thence run westerly for a
distance of 311.0 feet to the point of beginning and there terminating; containing 0.82
acres, more or less.
PARCEL 37008-0130 (Strips)
All that part of Government Lot 1, Section 8, Township 29, Range 21 described as
follows: Commencing at a point on the North line of said Government Lot I distant
1395.13 feet West of the Northeast comer of said Government Lot 1, thence
Southeasterly by a deflection angle of 70 degrees 50 minutes measured from the Easterly
direction of said North line of Government Lot I a distance of 651.71 feet to a point,
thence Southerly by a deflection angle of 21 degrees 13 minutes to the fight a distance of
29.52 feet to the point of beginning, thence continuing Southerly along, the aforesaid line
extended, being the Easterly fight-of-way line of Olson Lake Road, a distance of 18.62
feet, thence Easterly by a deflection angle of 90 degrees 02 minutes 30 seconds to the
right a distance of 259.25 feet, thence Northwesterly by a deflection angle of 112 degrees
12 minutes to the left a distance of 26.83 feet along the shoreline of Olson Lake; thence
Westerly by a deflection angle of 68 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds to the left a distance
of 249.02 feet to the point of beginning. ALSO all that part of Government Lot 1, Section
8, Township 29, Range 21 described as follows: Commencing at a point on the North line
of said Government Lot I distant 1395.13 feet West of the Northeast corner of said
Government Lot 1, thence Southeasterly by a deflection angle of 70 degrees 50 minutes
measured from the Easterly direction said North line of Government Lot I a distance of
651,71 feet to a point, thence Southerly by a deflection angle of 21 degrees 13 minutes to
the fight a distance of 178.14 feet to the point of beginning, thence S 88 degrees 34
minutes 30 seconds E 313.20 (312.94 record) feet, thence N 21 degrees 04 minutes W 5.0
feet along the shoreline of Olson Lake, thence N 88 degrees 30 minutes 30 seconds W
311.28 (311.0 record) feet to a point on the Easterly right-of-way line of Olson Lake
Road, thence in a Southerly direction along the Easterly right-of-way line of Olson Lake
Road a distance of 5 feet to the point of beginning.
WFIEREAS, the Lake Elmo Planning Commission considered and recommended
approval of the request for a minor subdivision on July 16, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo City Council, at its August 5, 1996, meeting,
reviewed the recommendation of the Planning Commission, and has determined that the
application for a minor subdivision is in compliance with the regulations of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a minor subdivision is hereby
granted and said minor subdivision shall result in the following described parcels:
'DESCRIPTION (PARCEL A)
All that part of Government Lot 1, Section 8, Township 29,
Range 21 described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the North line of said Government Lot 1
distant 1395.13 feet Westerly of the Northeast corner of said
Government Lot 1, said North line assumed to bear South 88
degrees 33 minutes 11 seconds West; thence Southeasterly by a
deflection angle of 70 degrees 50 minutes measured from the
Easterly direction of said North line a distance of 651.71 feet;
thence Southerly by a deflection angle of 21 degrees 13 minutes
to the right a distance of 29.52 feet to the point of beginning;
thence continuing Southerly along the aforesaid line extended a
distance of 18.62 feet; thence Easterly by a deflection angle of
90 degrees 02 minutes 30 seconds to the left a distance of 259.25
feet; thence Northwesterly by a deflection angle of 112 degrees
32 minutes to the left a distance of 26.83 feet along the
shoreline of Olson Lake; thence Westerly to the point of
beginning.

of 341.3 feet; thence Northwesterly by a deflection angle of 33
degrees 26 minutes to the right a distance of 700.6 feet; thence
