RESOLUTION NO. 96-23
CITY OF LAKE ELMO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION
FOR A DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES PARK GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has reviewed the need for winter grooming
of the ski trail system in Sunfish Park for the 1996-97 skiing season; and;
WHEREAS, the need for ski trail winter grooming for the approximate 13.1
kilometers of ski trails in Sunfish Park exceeds the dollars available for such
services; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has grant monies
available for winter grooming of the ski trails;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Lake Elmo, that the City staff and Parks Commission, are hereby directed to
apply for a grant for maintenance of ski trails in Sunfish Park, and the City shall
enter into an agreement with Washington County to perform the maintenance of
the trails in Sunfish Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Administrator are hereby
authorized to sign such application to the Minnesota Department of Natural
Resources Minnesota Assistance Program funds through its Grant-in Aid
Program.
ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 20th day of August, 1996.
