RESOLUTION NO. 97-2
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PROHIBITING THE USE OF 30TH STREET NORTH
BY TRUCKS
WHEREAS, 30th Street North is part of the City of Lake Elmo's Municipal State Aid Street
System, and
WHEREAS, the use of 30th Street North by trucks entering or leaving the Lake Elmo Old
Village Area involves an unusual hazard to the residents of Lake Elmo due to the excessive
speed of the trucks, narrow roadway, and residential nature of the Street, and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Rules 169.76 allows the Commissioner to designate certain highways
truck routes.
NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lake Elmo hereby requests that the
Commissioner designate the following highways truck routes into and out of the Lake Elmo Old
Village Area:
1. CSAH 15 from 1-94 to TH5
2. TH5 from CSAH 15 to CSAH 17
3. CSAH 17 from CSAH 10 to TH 5
4. CSAH 10 from CSAH 15 to CSAH 17
ADOPTED by the Lake Elmo City Council this 7th of January,,1,997.
