Resolution 97- 38
A Resolution Accepting Bid for 1997 Sealcoating
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1997 Sealcoating, bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to taw, and the following bids were received complying
with the advertisement:
Allied Blacktop Inc.
$51,390.00
Bituminous Roadways Inc.
$56,495.00
Astech Corp.
$62,110.00
Caldwell Asphalt
$71,840.00
AND WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with Allied Blacktop in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the I997
Sealcoat Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefor approved
by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to returnn forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and
the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the Lake Elmo City Council his 15th day of July 1997.
