HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 98-352 'Qt jJ - •� Jy CITY OF LAKE R:lllrl® RESOLUTION N0, 98 -35 IT IS RESOLVED that the City of Lake Elmo enter into Mn/DOT Agreement No. 77509 with the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes: To provide for payment by the State to the City of the State's share of the costs of the acquisition of landscape materials to be placed along Trunk Highway No. 5 from 350 feet west of Jamaca Avenue to 1400 feet west of Jamaca Avenue, under State Project No. 8214 -969 (T.H. 5 =045). IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Administrator are authorized to execute the Agreement. I —T", I IL #A10 19598 Attached are two copies of a proposed agreement between the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the City of Lake Elmo. This agreement provides for payment to the City of the State's share of the landscape materials acquisition by the City for use along TH 5 within the corporate City Iimits, in accordance with the State's "Community Roadside Enhancement Partnership Program." Kindly review this agreement and arrange to have it presented to the City Council for their approval and execution. This requires ORIGINAL NOTARIZED SIGNATURES of the City Council authorized City officers on both copies of the agreement. Also, required are two copies of a new resolution passed by the City Council authorizing its officers to sign the agreement. A suggested form of such resolution is attached. The resolution copies must also be NOTARIZED. This is a change from past practices in that the agreement and the resolution must both be notarized. Please return executed agreement copies to me for execution by the Metro Division Engineer, after which all copies will be returned to the Municipal Agreements Office for further execution on behalf of the State.
