Resolution No. 99- 93
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO HELMO AVENUE EXTENSION LAYOUT APPROVAL
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo (Lake Elmo) and the City of Oakdale (Oakdale) share
a common corporate boundary line; and
WHEREAS, Oakdale desires to extend a portion of Helmo Avenue from Hydram Avenue
to the intersection of Stillwater Boulevard and Ideal Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the right -of -way and roadway segment of Helmo Avenue will
encroach into that portion of Lake Elmo as depicted on the attached Proposed Improvement Plan
prepared by SEH, Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, Oakdale has requested Plan Layout approval from the City Council of Lake
Elmo; and
WHEREAS, Lake Elmo and Oakdale desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement for
maintenance, construction, and right -of -way acquisition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the of Lake Elmo does
hereby approve the Plan of the Road Extension as depicted on the attached Plan prepared by
SEH, Incorporated dated October 29, 1999; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Lake Elmo agrees to enter into a Cooperative Agreement relating to the maintenance,
construction and right-of-way acquisition for the Helmo Avenue extension, provided that nothing
in the agreement shall obligate the City of Lake Elmo to pay any costs.
Adopted this 21st day of December, 1999, by the Lake Elmo City Council.
