RESOLUTION NO. 2000-022
A RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITON
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
RE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of 50'h Street between State Highway 5 and County
Road 17 (Lake Elmo Avenue), filed with the Council on June 20, 2000, is hereby declared to be signed
by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in
conformity to Minnesota Statues 424.035.
2. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all
convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether it should best be made as
proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as
recommended.
3. The Council directed the City Engineer to study traffic calming devices, back -to -back cul-de-sacs, and
a bike path connecting to the Stillwater High School.
ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 20`s day of June, 2000.

To the City Council of Lake .Elmo, Minnesota:
We, the undersigned, owners of not less than 35 percent in frontage of the real property abutting
on 50th Street North, between Highway 5 and Lake Elmo Blvd., hereby petition that such street
is unproved by bituminous overlay pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429.

*Escrow money paid for 50th Street Improvements.
Examined, checked, and found to be in proper form and to be signed by the required number of
owners of property affected by the making of the improvements petitioned for.
