HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2001-019City of Lake Elmo Washington County, Minnesota Resolution 2001 - 019 RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A JOINT APPLICATION WITH THE WASHINGTON COUNTY SOIL AND CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR SPECIAL PROJECTCOST SHARE FUNDS THROUGH THE BOARD OF WATER AND SOIL RESOURCES WHEREAS, Fiscal Year 2002 State Cost Share Special Project Funds administered by the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) are now available and must have applications submitted by May 1, 2001; and WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is interested in applying for these special project dollars to assist in funding innovative stormwater management practice for the 50" Street upgrade project; and WHEREAS, the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) must be the local administrator of special cost share dollars available from the BWSR; and WHEREAS, the proposed project is within the Goetschel Pond and Cloverdale Lake watersheds, both of which are land locked basins, making innovation stormwater management techniques as incorporated in this project, a. priority according to the Washington SWCD Landlocked basin Policy. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lake Elmo City Council that the City of Lake Elmo will sign a joint special project application with the Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District, and forward it to the Board of Water and Soil Resources; and BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED, the City of Lake Elmo and the Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District will sign a cost share contract if special project cost share funding is awarded to this project.
