RESOLUTION NO. 2001-026
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR THE 15TH STREET NORTH
ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
(CSAH 13 TO LANE ELMO PARK RESERVE)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 15"' Street North Roadway
Improvement (CSAH 13 to Lake Elmo Park Reserve), bids were received , opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Hardrives, Inc.
$363,321.27
Engstrom Excavating, Inc.
$308,522.00
North Valley, Inc.
$295,702.50
Northwest Asphalt, Inc.
$261,334.65
T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc.
$235,636.10
Tower Asphalt, Inc.
$214,657.25
AND WHEREAS, Tower Asphalt, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Tower,
Asphalt, Inc. in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the 15`x' Street Road Improvement
(CSAH 13 to Lake Elmo Park Reserve), according to the plans and specifications therefor
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the city clerk.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 171h day of April, 2001.
