WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION NO. 2001-047
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 50" Street forth Street
Improvement (from. highway 5 to County Road 13), bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law, and the following bids -arere received complying with the
advertisement:
T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. $710,354.50
Tower Asphalt, Inc. $827,137.05
North Valley, Inc. $837,246.94
(Engineer's Estimate: $800,532.00)
'WHEREAS, T.A.. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITE' COUNCIL OF
LAKE EL O, MINNESOTA:
1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with T.A. Sclzifsky R- Sons, Inc. in the name of the City of Lake
Elmo for the 50`� Street Road Improvement (from Hghway 5 to County -
Road 17), according to the plans and specifications approved by the City
Council and on file in the office of the city clerk.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract
has been signed.
ADOPTED, by the Lake :Elmo City Council this 17th day of July 2001.
