A RESOLUTION FOR APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL COUNSEL
FOR MATTERS RELATED TO THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL {COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City Administrator and City Attorney to
solicit the interest of law firms with the expertise and experience required to represent the City in
matters related to the Metropolitan Council's actions regarding Lake Elmo Comprehensive Plan,
and;
WHEREAS, at a workshop on October 8, 2002, the Lake Elmo City Council interviewed
three law firms that have interest in providing services to the City in matters related to the Lake
Elmo Comprehensive Plan and the Metropolitan Council, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Dick Nowlin of the Law Firm of
Lindquist & Vennum, P.L.L.P., be appointed as Special Counsel to represent the City of Lake
Elmo in legal matters relating to the Metropolitan Council's actions regarding the Lake Elmo
Comprehensive Plan by the terms in that firm's letter to the City dated September 26, 2002.
ADOPTER, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 150' day of October, 2002.
