RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 086
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SERVICES FROM
ABDO, EICK & MEYERS, LLP
WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo City Council has approved auditing services with
ABDO, EICK & MEYERS, LLP for the year ended December 31, 2002,
WHEREAS, ABDO, EICK & MEYERS, LLP has prepared the annual financial
report for the City of Lake Elmo for year ended December 31, 2001,
WHEREAS, the audit objective is the expression of an opinion as to whether the
City's financial statements are presented, in all material respects, in conformity with
accounting principles accepted in the United States of America,
WHEREAS, the Management of the City of Lake Elmo understands it is
responsible for making all financial records and related information available for the
audit and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of that information.
WHEREAS, ABDO, EICK & MEYERS, LLP will prepare finance statements
including all required schedules, notes to financial statements and supplementary
scheduled included in the financial statements.
WHEREAS, the fee for these services is estimated at approximately $11,500,
NOW, THERFORE, the Lake Elmo Finance Director agrees with the terms of the
August 20, 2002 letter from Steven R. McDonald, CPA sets forth the understanding of
the City of Lake Elmo and recommends the Mayor sign the letter of agreement.
ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council on the 3;d day of September, 2002.
