CITE' OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-067 <br />• RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO PERFORM <br />• SPEED STUDY FOR 50 "" STREET NORTH BETWEEN LADE ELMO <br />AVENUE (CSAH17) AND TH5 <br />WHEREAS, the improvements to 50"' Street North are completed, the City <br />Council is acknowledging that these improvements may have produced a slower vehicle <br />speed than the previous speed limit of 55 miles per hour. <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lake Elmo City Council hereby requests that the <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) conducts a traffic speed survey to <br />determine if 30 miles per hour is a safe and reasonable speed for the following highway: <br />50TH STREET NORTH between CSAH 17 (Lake Elmo Avenue) and TH5 <br />BE IT ]FURTHER RESOLVED, that if the speed study indicates a proposed <br />speed more than 30 mph, the City of Lake Elmo should be so advised and be given the <br />opportunity to review and comment on the study. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council the 16th day of July, 2002. <br />44 �- <br />Lee Hunt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary Kueff r, Ci y f xnistrator <br />
