RESOLUTION NO. 2003-033
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR 2003 SEALCOATING
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2003 Sealcoating
Contract, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following
bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Allied Blacktop Co., Inc. $128,835.00
Pearson Bros., Inc. $130,705.00
Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $140,560.00
AND WHEREAS, Allied Blacktop Co., Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
.LADE ELMO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contact with Allied Blacktop Co. Inc. in the name of the City of Lake Elmo
for the 2003 Sealcoating Contract, according to the plan and specifications
therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
successful bidder and the neat lowest bidder shall be retained until a contact
has been signed.
ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 15`h day of April, 2003.
