OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO 2004-032 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2004 Overlay Project, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with <br />the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Base Bid <br />Alternate Bid <br />'Total Bid <br />Tower Asphalt <br />$62,800 <br />$14;250 <br />$77,050 <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />$64,705 <br />$26,640 <br />$85,345 <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />$64,955 <br />$21,600 <br />$86,555 <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />$71,475 <br />$22,605 <br />$94,080 <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />$62,950 <br />$12,000 <br />$74,950 <br />AND WHEREAS, Tower Asphalt, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITE' COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Tower, <br />Asphalt, Inc. in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the 2004 Overlay Project, according to <br />the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of <br />the city clerk. <br />2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits <br />made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest <br />bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 20th day of April, 2004. <br />Lee Hunt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Charles E.
