CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-092 <br />A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS SUPPORT FOR THE COUNTY STATE AID <br />HIGHWAY (CSAH) 19 TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM PROJECT <br />AT THE I -94 NORTH RAMPS <br />WHEREAS, Washington County wishes to install a traffic signal system on <br />CSAH 19 at the intersection of I -94 North Freeway Ramps; and <br />WHEREAS, Lake Elmo recognizes that Lake Elmo residents contribute a <br />minimal amount of traffic to the CSAH19 /I -94 intersection and that most of the traffic is <br />generated by the residents of he City of Woodbury. <br />WHEREAS, the project will be of mutual benefit to the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation, Washington County, Lake Elmo and Woodbury; and <br />WHEREAS, Lake Elmo's support is tempered by the City Council's belief that <br />there are. other intersections within Lake Elmo; such as CSAH17 and Highway S, that <br />should be given a higher priority, and <br />WHEREAS, Washington County is committed to providing the local share of the <br />costs if the project is selected as part of the FY 2006 Municipal Agreement Program; the <br />City of Lake Elmo will not be responsible for the local share; and <br />WHEREAS, Washington County is committed to completing the project if <br />selected and funding is provided as part of the FY 2006 Municipal Agreement Program; <br />and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lake Elmo expresses <br />support for the CSAH19 Traffic Signal System Project at the I -94 North Ramps. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council on the 3rd day of November, 2004. <br />Lee Lunt, Mayor <br />
