CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-054 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING REAL ESTATE DONATION FROM THE 3M COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has identified possible sites for the <br />construction of a Lake Elmo City water tower and public works facility (the <br />"Tower /Facility Site"); and <br />WHEREAS, an approximate 70484 acre site owned by The 3M Company, Located <br />in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of State Trunk Highway 5 and <br />Washington County Road 13 in the City of Lake Elmo has been identified as the <br />preferred site; and <br />WHEREAS, The 3M Company has offered to donate to Tower /Facility Site and an <br />access easement to the City pursuant to the terms of a draft of the Donation <br />Agreement and Declaration of Easements (the "Land Transfer Documents") attached <br />as Exhibit A. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Lake Elmo City Council hereby <br />accepts the donation of the Tower/Facility Site from The 3M Company; expresses its <br />1�4 <br />sincere thanks and appreciation to The 3M Company for its generou's donation- and <br />authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to execute the Land Transfer Documents <br />after final review and approval of such documents by the City's attorney and by legal <br />counsel for The 3M Company. <br />Approved by the City of Lake Elmo on the day of 2005. <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />IN <br />0 <br />�Martin Rafferty <br />Its: City Admin <br />F:\users\Janice\Jerry \LE\Resotution re 3M Sfte.doc <br />Dean Johnston <br />Its: Mayor <br />
