RESOLUTION NO. 2005-053
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE HID FOR THE WATER SYSTEM
INTERCONNECT - PHASE II
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the WATER SYSTEM INTERCONNECT
— PHASE II, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were
received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Base Bad
G. M. Contracting, Inc. $359,049.86
Chris Riley Utilities, Inc. $371,782.00
S.R. Weidema, Inc. $393,417.40
Minncomm Utility Construction Co., Inc. $424,530.72
Ellingson Drainage, Inc. $478,204.40
Engineer's Estimate $336,740.00
AND WHEREAS, G.M. Contracting, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with G. M.
Contracting Inc. in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the Water System Interconnect —
Phase II, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and
on file in the office of the city clerk.
2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
