CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 -061 <br />A RESOLUTION AU-- TH,ORIZING..SINGLE°°S �1VG <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo, under a Community Development Block <br />Grant sub recipient contract with Washington County, has entered into a project to <br />provide grant funding to income qualified homeowners in the Cimarron Manufactured <br />Housing Neighborhood to replace gas service lines within individual manufactured <br />housing units as a public heath/safety initiative, and;. <br />WHEREAS, in an effort to execute the project the City has solicited competitive <br />bids from qualified plumbers and pipe fitters, consistent with State and HUD competitive <br />bidding regulations on. three separate occasions, March 25, 2005, March 10, 2006 and <br />May 11, 2006; resulting in a single rejected bid on the first occasion and no bids on the <br />other two subsequent occasions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lake EImo City Council finds the <br />Cimarron Gas Service Project sufficiently specialized and unique as to require single <br />source contracting, and this methodology is hereby authorized and directed subject to <br />necessary approvals of Washington County and HUD. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council on June 20, <br />Dean A.
