RESOLUTION NO. 2008-049
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING
THE WINNERS OF THE 2008 LOCAL ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo City Council must meet to certify the results of the
local election; and
WHEREAS, the following is the results of the City General Election as they
appear on the face of the election returns:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lake Elmo City Council
declares Dean Johnston as elected as Mayor of the City of Lake Elmo, for a 4 -year term,
by a majority of the votes cast in the City of Lake Elmo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lake Elmo City Council declares Anne
Smith and Brett H. Emmons elected as Council members for 4 -Dear terms, by a majority
of the votes cast for this race in the City of Lake Elmo.
