<br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION
<br />505.040V. DEFINING SUBDIVISION IDENTIFI-
<br />CATION DISPLAYS, ANDAMENDING SECTION
<br />505.110 REGULATING SUBDIVISION IDENTI-
<br />FICATION DISPLAYS.
<br />The City Council ordains that Section
<br />505.040V shall be added to the Lake Elmo Mu-
<br />nicipal Code to read as follows:
<br />505.040V. Subdivision Identification Display: A display, illustration, structure or device which
<br />directs attention to or defines a residential subdi-
<br />vision.
<br />The CityCouncil further ordains thatSection
<br />505.110 of the Lake Elmo Municipal Code shall be
<br />amended to read as follows:
<br />505.110 DISPLAYS
<br />In any district, animal displays, lights directly
<br />skyward, pieces of sculpture, fountains, or other
<br />displays or features which do not clearly fall within
<br />the definition of a sign, but which directs attention
<br />to an object, product, place, activity, person, in-
<br />stitution, organization or business, shall require a
<br />conditional use permit. Subdivision identification
<br />displays shall not be permitted in any residential
<br />zoning district. Mobile signs on wheels or other-
<br />wise capable of being moved from place to place
<br />shall conform to the provisions of this Ordinance
<br />just as permanently affixed signs.
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be
<br />effective the day following its publication.
<br />ADOPTION DATE: Passed by the City
<br />Council of the City of Lake Elmo the 6th day of
<br />August, 1991.
