RESOLUTION 2012-42
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT AND
PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
KEATS AVENUE NORTH: MSA STREET AND
TRUNK WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant a resolution of the City Council adopted the Sth day of February, 2012, the
Council ordered a hearing on Improvement for the Keats Avenue north: MSA Street and Trunk
Watermain Improvements, and
WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given,
and the hearing was held thereon on the second day of October, 2012, at which all persons desiring to be
heard were given the opportunity to be heard thereon,
WHEREAS, the feasibility report, as amended and dated August 2012 states that the project is
necessary, cost-effective, and feasible,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
1. Such improvement is deemed necessary, cost --effective, and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility
Report as amended.
2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution adopted the second
day of October, 2012.
3. The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall
oversee the preparation of the Pians and Specifications for the snaking of such improvement.
4. The City ]Engineer shall retain the services of a consulting engineering firm to assist, where
needed, to prepare Plans and Specifications for the making of such improvement, and to assist the
City Engineer during the construction phase of the improvement as requested.
5. The City Council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the costs of the improvement
from the proceeds of tax exempt bonds.
